Mikail Sayeed is a proud Muslim & Harlem born Chef and food connoisseur. Originally hired as a line cook at Phoenix House at the age of 16, Mikail quickly whet & perfected his culinary skills to become a respected Sous chef. His culinary journey includes positions at fine establishments such as Eden Local, Catch NYC & LA, B2 Harlem, Buddakan, Cafe Bolond,& the Rubin Museum of Art. This natural gourmet took his first steps in his mother’s kitchen, graduated from Career Academy, & later became the Executive Chef of his very own catering company. Chef Mikail’s 15 years of experience & passion for all things food has fueled him to create “Afro-Asian fusion” for the masses who no longer want to experience the ordinary.

Family court orders may include being reunified with families, adoption, and/or Another Planned Permanent Living Arrangements (APPLA). Foster Care Unplugged is not for, nor against the child welfare system. We are here to support the child as a whole within his/her environment.

"Chef Radisha Rowe founded Essential Roots LLC in NYC on March 2019. Radisha was born in Saint Ann, Jamaica. She relocated to Trenton, New Jersey with her mother and two siblings at the age of four years old. Her creativity and passion for cooking is influenced by her West Indian background inherited from her mother Paulette and aunt Feron.
For decades Radisha encountered severe abdominal pain. After visiting many different doctors and specialist, she was finally diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2017. As a result, she was under the doctor’s care taking multiple medications which did not resolve her problem. Finally, she decided to take matters into her own hands and eliminated foods that elicited her endometriosis. Changing her diet helped her tremendously. Since then, Radisha has been on a plant-based journey for the past three years."

Chef Erynn (Juici) was raised in the Bronx, New York, a growing melting pot; diverse in ethnicity, religion, class, and most importantly, food. Her community helped to encourage the development of her keen sense of taste and true passion for the art of culinary. In 2009, Chef Erynn pursued her culinary education at the Institute for Culinary Education. Upon graduating, she swiftly utilized her cooking talents and built a positive rapport in her community working at multicultural restaurants and bakeries throughout New York City. With a southern background and formal training in French cuisine, Chef Erynn has showcased her talents locally and internationally at events, such as culinary expos and exhibits that have helped to market her brand and multifaceted style of cuisine: Southern American with French and Asian influences. During her journey as a classified Chef Erynn has also discovered her passion and excitement for catering and personal chef assignments. Chef Erynn assures her cliental that her "focus is to pay homage to the classics while adding a modern, artistic, and innovative touch to each dish that [she] creates." "Angelo Chery, 19, is a violinist, composer, music teacher, and music producer who currently resides in New York. He is currently attending Purchase College and is majoring in Music Performance. While in college, he has performed for the Dorothy and Lilian Gish Prize Ceremony in honor of Maestro Gustavo Dudamel, the 2019 Social justice Award ceremony in honor of Oscar Robertson, and composed a fiddle solo which he performed at Princeton University, Dudamel residency. Angelo was set to perform both as a soloist and as an accompanist for Joyce Didonato at South by South West 2020 festival. Unfortunately, the festival was canceled due to the pandemic."
At the age of 16, Antwoin “Chef Fresh” Gutierrez exhibited the first signs of an emerging, but misguided, entrepreneurial spirit when he began to sell illegal narcotics in his hometown, Peekskill NY. After a stint in prison, a more mature Antwoin recognized that the business skills he developed on the streets could be applied to more legitimate ventures and he has transformed his life since his release in 2011. He discovered his natural talent for baking as a trainee at The Doe Fund at the age of 25. After two years of exploring New York City’s demanding pastry/culinary industry, he was hired as a full-time employee by The Doe Fund and became the organization’s youngest Culinary Instructor by age 27. Since finding his passion, Chef Fresh has groomed his talents in establishments such as, The Gramercy Park Hotel, Upland, Bouchon Bakery, Pain D’Avignon and Zaro's Bake Shop. In 2017 he launched his own “Online Bakery” called Fresh Taste Bakery. Since then, he has made a name for himself in NYC for his Carrot Cake Cookies and Alcohol Infused Desserts. #KeepinItFresh,(as he likes to say) with the likes of DJ Khaled, Larenez Tate, Yandy Smith.
